Lanis Rosenberg
Age: 21
Birthday: June 29th
Star Sign: Cancer
Element: None
Psychic abilities: Telekinesis and the mysterious 'Spectre' ability.
When she was just 12, Lanis’ family was involved in a fatal car accident which
killed both parents and placed her sister, Cera, into a coma. It was this
incident that triggered Lanis' dormant powers, allowing her to bring her sister
back from the brink of death. A few years later, she joined LINEAR in order to
get a better understanding of her unique abilities and pursue a career as a
scientist.
This is Lanis' third year at LINEAR, and final year of fieldwork as a soldier
before entering a specified field. Even to this day, her abilities still lay
shrouded in mystery and she is unable to control them or summon at will.
Because Lanis is physically quite weak, she feels she is forever struggling to
keep up with everyone around her, even her own team mates. However, she puts up
a tough exterior and rarely shows this self-doubt to anyone. |

Manna Farneigh
Age: 22
Birthday: May 7th
Star Sign: Taurus
Element: Fire
Psychic abilities: Pyrokinesis, Telepathy.
Manna joined LINEAR three years ago after realising she could hear other
people's thoughts when they came within close proximity of her. Since then, she
has honed her telepathy skills and even learnt how to generate fire, a dormant
ability she never knew existed.
Manna shares a room with Lanis and the two have become very close friends over
the past three years. Unlike Lanis though, Manna is physically strong and a
natural in combat, inheriting her skills from a long line of women warriors
living in the central grasslands. Even though she can be very stubborn and quick
to anger, Manna will do anything for those she cares deeply about.
Because of her very close-to-nature upbringing, Manna finds it hard to associate
with the Silhouettes. Being unable to sense them telepathically, she considers
them eerie and unnatural.

Prof. Simon Gillespie
Age: 41
Birthday: April 15th
Star Sign: Aries
Element: Gravity
Psychic abilities: Able to create shockwaves & crush matter.
Dr Gillespie is the leading scientist at LINEAR and the head co-ordinator of the
Silhouette Project. Calm, calculated and arrogant, he is obsessively absorbed in
his work and will do anything to achieve his goals, no matter the costs…
Even though he possesses some negative personality quirks, he is regarded as one
of the most brilliant scientists of his time and is looked up to by many fellow
doctors. Dr Gillespie also holds a keen interest in the mysterious powers that
lay within Lanis, hoping to extract them for the use of his silhouettes and to
heal Echidna...
Having lost his Fiancée early in his employment at LINEAR, he constantly pushes
the boundaries of science in order to perfect the Silhouettes so humans are no
longer needed on the battlefield. Sadly, he sees his creations as nothing more
than disposable units of war.

Dr. Kellie Harem
Age: 34
Birthday: September 9th
Star Sign: Virgo
Element: Water
Psychic abilities: Telekinesis, liquid manipulation.
Dr. Harem works alongside Dr. Gillespie on the Silhouette Project. Having worked
together from the very beginning, Kellie holds much respect for Simon as a
fellow scientist, but dislikes him as a person.
At first glance, Kellie appears cold, distant and completely absorbed in her
work. However, when she manages to get away from the laboratory, she's
surprisingly laidback and amiable.
Kellie possesses weak psychic abilities, yet is an outstanding scientist who
even keeps up with Dr. Gillespie. She is currently training Lanis on a part-time
basis to become her assistant, and one day take her place on LINEAR's research
team.
She possesses mixed emotions towards the Silhouette Project. As a scientist she
is intrigued, yet fears what the Silhouettes are capable of.

Cera Rosenberg
Age: 27
Birthday: August 25th
Star Sign: Virgo
Element: None
Psychic abilities: Nothing noteworthy.
After a car accident that killed both parents, Cera and Lanis lived with their
grandmother till they were old enough to go their separate ways.
Unlike her sister though, Cera does not possess anything discernable in the way
of psychic abilities. Although she has been known to have prophetic dreams on a
rare occasion.
Cera currently works as an accountant and has recently married. She sports a
confident and professional personality, but also shares Lanis' soft spot when it
comes to helping those in need. Even to this day, Cera still enjoys visiting
Lanis at LINEAR whenever she can squeeze a spare moment into her busy schedule.

A-28
Alternative name: Ash
Silhouette series: A-Series
Element: Electricity
Psychic abilities: Generate lightening, manipulating any form of electricity.
Ash was assigned to Lanis' team along with Dianne. Unlike Dianne though, Ash's
personality is devoid of emotion and he often comes across as hostile. This is
because the personas of the early A-Series Silhouettes weren't very refined and
lack they ability to emulate human behaviour. However, the LINEAR scientists
still dispatched them, hoping their ability to learn would enable them to
eventually fit in.
Because of his harsh demeanour, he and Lanis are at odds from early stages. But
even though he is mystified as to why he must take directions from someone so
incompetent, Ash is still a soldier, and would follow Lanis into hell and back
if ordered to do so.
Unknown to anybody though, Ash has been assigned to Lanis by Dr. Gillespie
himself, not just as her team mate but to keep a close eye on the development of
her Spectre abilities. This raises concerns on with whom his real loyalties lie
with...

D-13
Alternative name: Dianne
Silhouette series: D-Series
Element: Light
Psychic abilities: Flash/blind enemies, can inflict burns.
Dianne was assigned to Lanis' team along with Ash. She is a part of the more
recent D-Series Silhouettes, which were designed to mimic human behaviour more
convincingly than the previous models. Because of this, Dianne has a calm and
eerily friendly personality off the battlefield.
However, this doesn't make her any less effective as a soldier, she is just as
lethal as any other series in a fight and works feverishly to protect her
lesser-skilled team captain.

G-01
Alternative name: Grey
Silhouette series: ??
Element: ??
Psychic abilities: ??
A mysterious silhouette that Lanis encounters in her dreams while bunking at the
Janus research facility. He is isolated and held in a high security cell, but
despite his predicament Grey sports an oddly cheerful disposition. Little else
is known about him.

E-00
Alternative name: Echidna
Silhouette series: Prototype
Element: ??
Psychic abilities: ??
Echidna was the prototype model for the Silhouette Project. Unlike the current
Silhouettes though, she possessed emotions and the ability to judge right from
wrong.
Since she did not possess a limiter, Echidna was able to access her powers at
their full potential without the use of Accelerator. This had some drawbacks
though, the major one being the massive amount of stress it placed on the brain.
A drug known as Fulcrum was created in order to keep these powers in check and
lower the risks of haemorrhaging. It works in the exact opposite way to
Accelerator, repressing psychic abilities.
Because of these factors, Echidna was a Silhouette in perpetual pain, as her
body fought relentlessly to maintain balance between her surging powers and the
drugs used to control them. This constant suffering caused the girl to break
down during an experiment, where she mercilessly vented her anger on all those
in the vicinity. After this incident she was frozen and used as a basis for
future Silhouettes. However several aspects were altered, naturally the ones
involving the presence of emotion, and how their abilities were controlled.
