Lanis Rosenberg
Age: 22
Psychic abilities: Foreseeing events and her mysterious 'Spectre'
abilities.
When Lanis was just a young girl, her family was involved in a serious
car accident resulting in the death of both parents. This incident
also placed her older sister Cera into a coma for many weeks until she
was miraculously awoken by Lanis' strange powers, which had been lying
dormant until that point. Because of this incident, the scientists of
LINEAR have taken a keen interest in her and prompted Lanis to join
LINEAR where she is currently completing her third and final year of
field service whilst studying to become a military doctor.
Personality wise, Lanis comes across as reserved yet stubborn, and
despite being a brilliant scholar she can also be quite lazy. Even
after three years in LINEAR, she still has no control over her
abilities and feels that she is forever struggling to keep up with
everyone around her. Despite her usually docile temperament, she has
been known to display passive-aggressive behaviour in situations she
isn't comfortable with. |

Ash (Unit: A-28)
Common name: Ash
Silhouette series: A-Series
Psychic abilities: Discharge & manipulate electricity.
Ash was assigned to Lanis' team along with Dianne (D-13). Unlike his
fellow Silhouette teammate though, Ash's personality is devoid of
emotion which often causes him to come across as hostile. This is due
to the fact that the personas of the early A-Series Silhouettes
weren't very refined and lacked the ability to emulate human behaviour.
Unknown to Lanis, Ash is working under specialised programming from
Prof. Simon Gillespie to obtain information on her abilities while on
the field. This raises concerns on whom his real loyalties lie with... |

Dianne (Unit: D-13)
Common name: Dianne
Silhouette series: D-Series
Psychic abilities: Psychokinesis
Dianne was assigned to Lanis' team along with Ash (A-28). She is a
part of the more recent D-Series Silhouettes, which were designed to
mimic human behaviour more convincingly than the previous models.
Because of this, Dianne displays a calm and eerily friendly
personality when she associates with humans.
Dianne's abilities enable her to manipulate inanimate objects, moving
or bending them to her will. |
 |
Grey (Unit: Ghost)
Common name: Grey
Silhouette series: ???
Psychic abilities: Mind Control
A mysterious and unpredictable Silhouette that is kept under close
guard in the lower levels of the Janus laboratory. He is isolated and
held in a high security cell, but despite his predicament Grey sports
an oddly cheerful disposition.
Little else is known about him. |

Prof.
Simon Gillespie
Age: 43
Psychic abilities: Psychokinesis
Dr Gillespie is the leading scientist at LINEAR and the head co-ordinator
of the Silhouette Project. Calm, calculated and somewhat arrogant, he
is obsessively absorbed in his work and will do anything to achieve
his goals, no matter the costs. Even though he possesses some negative
personality quirks, he is regarded as one of the most brilliant
scientists of his time and is looked up to by many fellow doctors. Dr
Gillespie also holds a keen interest in the mysterious powers that lay
within Lanis.
Having lost his Fiancée while they were both serving in the Loenn
military, he recklessly pushes the boundaries of science in order to
perfect the Silhouettes so humans are no longer needed to risk their
lives on the battlefield.
Ironically, for a man at the cutting edge of science and psychic
biological engineering, Simon harbours no powerful Psychic abilities
himself. He does however, possess the ability to levitate and move
small objects but rarely utilises this skill due to the mental strain.

Dr. Kellie Harem
Age: 38
Psychic abilities: Aural perception.
Dr. Kellie Harem works alongside Prof. Simon Gillespie on the
Silhouette Project. Having worked together from the very beginning of
her career, Kellie holds much respect for Simon as a fellow scientist,
but dislikes him as a person.
At first glance, Dr. Harem appears cold, distant and completely
absorbed in her work. However, when she manages to get away from the
laboratory, she's surprisingly laidback and amiable.
She possesses rather ineffectual psychic abilities, yet is an
outstanding scientist who even keeps up with the work of Prof.
Gillespie. Kellie is currently training Lanis on a part-time basis to
become her assistant, and one day take her place on LINEAR's medical
research team. She possesses mixed emotions towards the Silhouette
Project. |

Manna Farneigh
Age: 24
Psychic abilities: Telepathy.
Manna is a third-year field soldier of LINEAR, and was inducted into
the military at the same time as Lanis. They began their career
working on the same team. However, they have since been allocated to
different squads over the past year.
Manna grew up in a relatively poor village located in the arid
grasslands of central Loenn. In her mid teens, Manna was mis-diagnosed
with Schizophrenia, as she would often comment that she heard quiet
and indistinguishable whispers in her head. After seeking a second
opinion, it was soon discovered that she had the beginnings of a
dormant psychic ability of hearing thoughts.
Manna joined LINEAR soon after this revelation. She has since learnt
to hone her telepathic gift, and most importantly, how to block out
the whispers or concentrate on them when required.
Even though Manna and Lanis no longer work together, the girls have
remained very close friends over the past few years and up until
recently have been sharing a room. Unlike Lanis though, Manna is
physically gifted and is a natural in combat but lacks in more
studious fields. |

Princess Isabu Ishrah
(pronounced: EYE - SA - BU)
Age: 29
Psychic abilities: Immunity
The missing princess from the neighbouring nation of Strada.
Middle child of the Stradan royal family, Princess Isabu has been
hailed as the 'holy grail' of her people. A strange gift from birth,
Isabu is completely immune to the effects of psychic powers. In a
nation full of anti-psychic inhabitants, it's quite ironic that this
'ability' could indeed be considered a psychic power in itself.
However the general populous do not see it this way, claiming that she
was sent by god with the power to relieve them of their neighbours to
the east.
Her disappearance is said to be one of the major disputes between the
two nations, since Strada claim that she was kidnapped by Loenn
militants in reply to a terrorist attack from their own anti-psychic
extremists.

Cera Thurston
Age: 27
Psychic abilities: Nothing noteworthy.
After a car accident that killed both parents and placed Cera into a
coma, her and Lanis had been living with their grandmother until they
were old enough to go their separate ways.
Unlike her younger sister, Cera does not possess anything discernable
in the way of psychic abilities. Although she has been known to have
prophetic dreams on a rare occasion.
Cera currently works as an accountant and has recently married a man
named Andrew Thurston. She sports a confident and professional
personality, and is opposite to her sibling is almost every way. Due
to what they have been through together, both women still try and find
time for each other in their busy schedules and maintain a close
relationship. |

Echidna (Unit: Prototype)
(pronounced: EE - KID - NAH)
Common name: Echidna
Silhouette series: Prototype
Psychic abilities: ???
Echidna was the prototype model for the Silhouette Project, but unlike
the current Silhouettes, she possessed emotions and a much more human
persona.
Since Echidna did not possess a limiter, she was able to access her
powers at their full potential without the use of the Accelerator
drug. This had some drawbacks though, the major one being the massive
amount of stress it placed on the brain. A drug known as Fulcrum was
created in order to keep these powers in check and lower the risks of
hemorrhaging.
Because of these factors, Echidna was a in perpetual pain as her body
fought to maintain balance between her surging powers and the drugs
used to control them. The project was aborted and Echidna was placed
into an induced coma with her body being lightly frozen via
Vitrification methods and used as a basis for future Silhouettes. |
